Aileen escaped a Texas trailer park by marrying David, an older researcher who needs a dutiful assistant more than a wife. On a rainforest expedition, a cramped canoe forces her onto the lap of Martin, David's cocky younger brother, who has never hidden his contempt for her. With every wave over the rapids, the two are pushed closer together, and a forbidden heat builds that Aileen can't ignore. With her husband just a few feet away, how long can she keep playing the perfect wife?
